About me
I’m a self employed IT systems analyst and have spent most of my working life in the banking and finance sector. I live in Perth, Western Australia.
My original training was as an economist, so you’ll see some articles about the economics of taxation and welfare from time to time. I worked in the financial markets for some years, and am an active investor.
After working as an employee for a long time, I eventually decided to take control over my own working life, so now I’m a contractor. I prefer the independence that this gives me, and I have worked in a variety of industries including resources, power generation and financial services.
On a personal note, I enjoy a wide range of literature, music and cinema.
