It isn’t much good wasting time with white or milk chocolate, or “dark” chocolate lite which hardly has any of the life-giving cocoa in it. You need dark chocolate which is at least 70%. This is generally cholesterol and dairy free.
Here’s a great type that I found, Green & Black’s 85% organic chocolate. It is freetrade, so it is helping people in third world countries achieve financial independence, it is organic, so doesn’t contain any pesticide residues and it tastes fantastic. Some dark chocolate tastes very harsh and bitter, but this one is mild and flavoursome (I think that it is the organic vanilla that they add to it).
Dark chocolate is an acquired taste. If you are used to cheap sweets and chocolate laden with sugar and palm oil, it will be a shock (you might spit it out). But try out something new and be a bit different. Take a step away from the world of flavourless, unhealthy chocolate!
