Subversive tip – Write with a fountain pen
In the computer age, there is still a place for writing by hand. When you are goal setting, or planning something, there is nothing like getting a sheet of paper and starting to write. Read on to find out why you should be doing your writing with a fountain pen.
When you need to write, don’t just write with a disposable ball point pen – show some individuality and class and stand out from the crowd and use a fountain pen.
A fountain pen is a form of technology which is refillable at low cost from a bottle of ink, allows you to readily express your individual writing style (as you press more firmly, it makes a thicker line) and uses far less pressure than a ball point pen, which means that your words flow across the page more easily. You can also choose a range of colours, simply by buying a different bottle of ink.
If you look at those who make their mark on the world and who sign the million dollar deals, are they signing their names with a disposable plastic ball point pen? No. So why are you doing your life’s work with a tool that you have chosen for its cheapness rather than its excellence in writing?
A fountain pen shows that you have distinctive tastes and an appreciation of something a little different without being quirky or antisocial. I have noticed that the leaders in every profession have their own sense of taste and style and express it by using tools such as fountain pens.
You can spend a lot on a fountain pen, but you don’t need to. If you do want to spend a bit more (and get a softer gold nib rather than a steel nib), you can do so with the understanding that your pen will last as long as you do.
